Nod. We have tended towards higher latitude hikes — Northern Sweden, Iceland, New Zealand, Chile. Pretty much any place that there are sheep around. So Scotland fit the bill.
You'd like it around here then- more sheep than people, hill country, forest country and border country. We live in what are known as the Welsh Marches, close the the borders of the principalities of Gwynedd and Powys (Welsh speaking Wales) in north Shropshire.
